Smoothie Recipe For Sore Muscles

Have you ever had one of those days where you push yourself too hard? Exercise is very important although it is important that you pace yourself and take cautionary measures on your way towards better fitness! I now know that stretching and nourishing yourself before and after workouts is very VERY important. Or else, you end up like me; sore and watching netflix on the couch all day on your day off. HAHA. Potassium plays a big role in preventing muscle soreness. So here is a smoothie recipe to nourish yourself pre and post workout.

3-4 ripe bananas (potassium)

2 tablespoons peanut or almond butter (plant-based protein)

1 tablespoon chia seed (plant based protein)

1 can or 16 oz coconut water (hydration)

1 cup strawberries
